Árpád Daradics

graphic artist | 1964, Târgu Mures, RO

He graduated in graphic art from the University of Fine Arts in Kolozsvár (Cluj) in 1990. His masters were Ioachim Nica, László Feszt and Ioan Horváth Bugnáriu. His electrographic series Red Stories became known in 2000. He has had several solo and group exhibitions in Hungary and other countries. Important recognitions: Lessedra 3rd prize at the World Art Print Annual, Sophia, (2004), Professional Award of the Ministry of National Cultural Heritage (2004), scholarship of the Hungarian Academy in Rome (2005), Pleasure Award at the Fifteenth International Lahti Poster Biennial, Lahti (2005), Prize of Excellence at the Second Medial Art Biennial, London, (2007), 2nd prize at the Imprint, Kulisiewicz International Graphic Art Triennial, Warsaw (2011), Munkácsy Award (2012).
