Ádám Farkas

sculptor | 1944, Budapest

He graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1968. He worked in the studio of Collamarini in Paris from 1968– 1969. He has had exhibitions in Hungary and abroad since 1968, and has been teaching at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts since 1990. He has fifty or so works erected in public spaces in Hungary and abroad. Important solo exhibitions: Szentendre (2015), Pozsony (Bratislava, 2016), Pécs (2017). He received the Munkácsy Award in 1983, the Meritorious Artist title in 1989, the Prima Award in 2010 and the Kossuth Award in 2016. He has been living and working in Szentendre since 1948.
