Kinga Hajdú

painter, teacher of art | 1964, Budapest

She majored in Painting between 1985 and 1992 at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, under the tutelage of Lajos Sváby and Ferenc Kis-Tóth. She currently teaches art at the Fine and Applied Arts at the Secondary School of Visual Arts in Budapest. Solo exhibitions: LigetGaléria, Budapest (2017), Érdi Galéria, Érd (2019). In 1994 she won a Barcsay Award, in 2014 a Creative Scholarship from the National Cultural Fund, and then in 2018 a Munkácsy Award. Her works feature in the collections of the Hungarian National Gallery, Ludwig Museum, Raiffeisen Bank, the Contemporary Art Centre in Dunaújváros, Saint Stephen’s Museum in Székesfehérvár and Hungary’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels.
