Sára Richter

fine artist | 1969, Szentendre

A self-taught artist, she has exhibited her works since 1996 as a member of The Young Applied Artists’ Studio Association and later the Hungarian Artist’s Book Association. She stitches and embroiders her works onto linen canvas, and also uses dying and appliqué techniques. Her most recent solo exhibitions: MANK Gallery, Szentendre (2020), Kunsthalle Budapest (2019),Óbudai Társaskör Gallery (2018), Gorka Museum, Verőce (2018) Aba-Novák Agóra, Szolnok (2016), Aba-Novák Gallery, Leányfalu (2011), Parti Gallery, Pécs (2010). From 2001 to 2003 she received a Lajos Kozma Scholarship, in 2004 she won the Studio Award of the Ministry of National Cultural Heritage, and in 2012 the award of the Hungarian Academy of Arts at the the Szombathelyi Textile Triennial. Public collections featuring her works: Ferenczy Museum, Szentendre; Júlia Vermes Artist’s Book Collection, Basel; MODEM, Debrecen.
