Zsolt Koroknai

He graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 1988, completed the MA programme between 1988 and 1991 and received the DLA degree in 2014. His areas of research are electrography, performativity in a video environment and the penetration of the sister arts. He has been teaching at the Institute of Design of METU since 2013; he is an associate professor. He has been regularly exhibiting his works since the 1990s: he has had more than one hundred solo shows and performances. He began to research the penetration of the sister arts in the Lectronia performance art series in 2005. He has made visual designs for many theatre performances and has had concerts with experimental bands. He has been on the board of the MAMŰ society since 2002, taking part in the curatorial work of exhibitions. He received the Lipót Herman Award in 1988, the Munkácsy Award in 2014 and won several art scholarships. His works can be found in public collections in Hungary and abroad, as well as in public spaces and private collections.
