István Mórocz

He studied graphic art between 2009 and 2014 at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, where his tutors were Alajos Eszik and József Szurcsik. He focuses on print-making techniques: aluminium etching, cold needle etching and mezzotint. In 2014 he had his first solo exhibition at the Kuny Domokos Museum in Tata, followed in 2016 by another at the János Tornyai Museum in Hódmezővásárhely. He has received numerous accolades: besides a scholarship from the Association of Hungarian Graphic Artists in 2013, a Jenő Barcsay Award in 2014 and the Gyula Rud-nay Scholarship of the Autumn Exhibition of Hódmezővásárhely in 2015, he was also presented with the Hungarian Academy of Arts Award at the Miskolc Triennial of Graphic Arts in 2017. His works feature in Hungarian private and public collections.
