Pika Árpád Nagy

painter | 1950, Erdőszentgyörgy

The glory days of art are long regarded as history: the classical Avant-garde of the early 20th century and the artistic eruption of the Neo- Avant-garde in the middle of the century, when some fifty art trends emerged from Fluxus to the various media arts and the post-modern aspirations of the end of the century are all history. It seems the time of isms is over. I personally pursue a kind of figurative art, which is expressive and unique enough to be distinctly recognised among other works. I am open to all genres so besides oil paintings I make three-dimensional objects, prints, installations and other things.
