Ákos Muzsnay

fine artist | 1945, Budapest

It was in the early sixties when it became clear that fine art, and within that graphic art, is the area that interests me the most, where I can find the meaning of my life. Instead of formulating vague goals I started looking for role models and found them in the persons of Sándor Kőrösi Csoma and Béla Kondor, whose life’s work and ethical uprightness are my beacons guiding me along the way in hard times. After I mastered the required skills the years of looking for my own artistic voice followed. I developed a method: I read, watch and wait, and, if the gods permit it, I can reach a point from where the path leads in one direction only.
