Domonkos Benyovszky-Szűcs

painter | 1986, Budapest

He graduated in 2011 from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts as a student of Orsolya Drozdik. The language of his painting is diverse, so each work is part of a continuously evolving series and concept. His art is centred on the processes of image-making and understanding. In his photo sketches he visually analyses the various image compression errors and digital automations; then, translating them into another medium, he converts them into painting. Important exhibitions and collections: Hungarian Overture (Venice, 2015), Unglaublich Hässlich (Dresden, 2011), Budapest Art Expo (Szentendre, 2013), Imago Mundi Collection (2015).
