Gergő Ámmer

He graduated in sculpture from the Hungarian University of fine Arts in 2017. His masters were Pál Kő, Péter Gálhidy and Géza Sallai. His works are connected to the great traditions and subjects of sculpture, which he uniquely combines and updates with everyday reality. He makes life-size sculptures from lasting materials such as marble, andesite and bronze but he also works with the more ephemeral plaster. He had a solo exhibition open in the János Tornyai Museum in Hódmezővásárhely in 2019. He won the scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Arts in 2017, the Tornyai Plaque in 2018 and the Derkovits and Tibor Szervátiusz scholarships in 2019.
