Gáspár Szőke

He graduated in painting from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2009. His master was Zoltán Tölg-Molnár. He makes his emblematic and individual works with oil and acrylic on a range of supporting materials. His paintings are characterised by a passionate search for the harmony of colour and form and by the combination of playfulness and a systematic approach. His oeuvre of abstract painting is complemented by his work pursued in the areas of light music and teaching. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions, the most important solo shows of recent years being Forms, Contrasts, I Build, I Disrupt (Neon Gallery, Budapest, 2014), Lost Scrolls of Monor (Müszi, Budapest, 2016) and Strata (Karinthy Salon, Budapest, 2020).
