Franciska Szabó

painter | 1988, Budapest

She graduated in 2011 with a major in painting from the Hungarian Universityof Fine Arts, where her tutors were Ádám Kéri and Attila Szűcs. In 2019 she earned her doctorate at the same institution. In 2009 she received an Art Collectors’ Amadeus artist’s scholarship, in 2011 a Pro Arte Gold Medal, in 2012 the Gundel Award for Art and in 2018 a scholarship under the New National Excellence Programme. Her solo exhibitions have included the VILTIN Gallery (2009), the Hal Köz Gallery (Debrecen, 2015) and the Ari Kupsus Gallery (2019). The language of her figural painting is characterised by a diversity of techniques.
