Imre Tolnay

painter and graphic artist | 1968, Győr

He graduated in 1992 with a degree in Graphic Art from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. In 2003 he earned his doctorate from the Faculty of Art at the University of Pécs, and habilitated in 2013. He has participated in exhibitions and symposiums in Hungary and abroad since 1991, featuring in some 160 group and 40 solo exhibitions to date. In addition to the painting, graphic art, installations and art publications of his almost three-decade career, he teaches at the architectural school of Széchenyi István University, and is a master teacher at the Győr School of Dance and Fine Arts. His works feature in several public and private collections in Hungary and abroad, and he has won several awards.
