István Madácsy

graphic artist | 1965, Nyíregyháza

He graduated in 1996 with a major in graphic art from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and earned his DLA here in 2010. He has taught at the university’s Department of Graphics since 2014. He regularly takes part in graphic art exhibitions both in Hungary and abroad. His many prominent professional accolades include the Munkácsy Award he received in 2009. In 2018 he had a solo exhibition at the MODEM in Debrecen. His graphic art centres on drawing and screen-printing techniques.
